The purpose of the service is to clean the heat exchanger and to remove the build-up of deposits on the heat transfer surface that occur in almost all applications. Mechanical Cleaning is usually combined with a CIP-unit cleaning (Cleaning-In-Place), which allows for a cleaning of the internal parts without the need for dismantling the unit. By incorporating circulation of a mixture of heated chemicals that dissolve scaling, sludge and micro-organisms on the heat transfer surface, the method used will remove these troublesome deposits and by doing so restore performance to optimal level.
